PLAY BETTER GOLF WITH GRIP FRIEND

WHAT IS GRIP FRIEND?

Grip Friend is an effective, versatile golf grip protector that’s very easy to use. On this page and in the Full Video, we explain it in detail. We want you to be able to use Grip Friend easily and effectively from the start.

WE COVER THESE FOUR AREAS
  • Why you use it
  • Design and construction
  • Features and benefits
  • How and when you use it

SIX REASONS WHY YOU USE GRIP FRIEND

#1 Grip Friend is the best grip protection available.

Your grips are clean and dry for every shot. They stay clean and dry protected inside your Grip Friend like they are in your bag. Your grips are as clean and dry at the end of your round as at the start regardless of the course and weather conditions. Grips that stay clean and dry can be cleaned less often and can last longer.

THESE GRIPS GET DIRTY AND WET

THESE GRIPS STAY CLEAN AND DRY

#2 Grip Friend is much better than using a towel in wet conditions.

A towel gets dirty and wet so your grips don’t stay clean and dry. They do stay clean and dry protected inside Grip Friend. You play better and enjoy the game more with clean, dry grips that have consistent feel and performance. If you’re serious about protecting your grips when it’s wet, use Grip Friend instead of a towel.

#3 You don’t have to deal with dirty, wet, slippery grips.

Grip Friend acts like a portable golf bag when you play and practice. Your grips don’t get dirty from dirt, dust, mud, sand, fertilizer, and chemicals. Your grips don’t get wet and slippery from rain, watering, dew, and frost.

#4 You don’t have to wipe off your grips.

Wiping off your grips can be a bad thing. Unless your towel is always clean and dry, your grips won’t be. You can wipe dirt into grips that you wipe off. And not having to wipe off your grips saves you time and effort.

#5 You can concentrate on your shot making knowing your grips are always clean and dry.

You play better and enjoy the game more with grips that have consistent feel and performance.

#6 Grip Friend is easy to use.

Handling Grip Friend is straightforward. Taking clubs out of your bag, carrying them, laying them down, picking them up, and putting them back in your bag are nearly the same with or without Grip Friend.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Grip Friend’s design is new and innovative. It’s a triangular tube made of rugged ABS plastic that protects the grips of three clubs. The open bottom is divided into three spaces for three grips. The closed top has a key ring attached to the reinforced bridge and to a custom carabiner.  Grip Friend attaches to a cart strap or fits in a bag pocket.
We made Grip Friend as light and small as we could and still be functional. It weighs only 10 ounces and is 12” deep. Inside there is enough space for two standard grips and one large oversize putter grip. The bottom is flared so grips don’t rub against each other when clubs are inserted and removed.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Innovative, stylish design that’s easy to use.

  • Holds three clubs and accommodates a large oversize putter grip.

  • Weighs only 10 ounces and is made of rugged ABS plastic.

  • You are less likely to leave clubs behind.

HOW AND WHEN YOU USE GRIP FRIEND

Grip Friend is a versatile golf accessory. You use it to protect your grips in several situations when you play and practice.
Some golfers use Grip Friend to protect their grips all the time, and others use it only in wet conditions. If you’re a cart golfer, you put the cart strap through the carabiner when you load your clubs. The carabiner faces out and opens at the bottom so the key ring takes only a second to slip off and on.
At the end of play you remove the carabiner from the cart strap when you unload your bag. You can clean your Grip Friend if you want and store it wherever you choose.
If you use a push cart or carry your clubs, you have Grip Friend in a bag pocket. You use it when you don’t take your bag to a shot on the other side of the green. You also use it to protect your grips when you’re waiting your turn on the tee box or the green when it’s rainy.

USE GRIP FRIEND TO PROTECT YOUR GRIPS WHEN YOU

PLAY AND PRACTICE

1. Greenside shots and putting.

Cart golfers use Grip Friend the most. You lay clubs down more often for short approach shots and shots around the green and putting. That can be from a few to several times a round depending on how many greens you hit. You typically take one or two wedges and your putter.
Take the key ring and Grip Friend off the carabiner.
Put your wedges and putter in Grip Friend and walk to your shot.
At your shot, take out your wedge and lay down your putter in Grip Friend. After your shot, put your wedge in Grip Friend, pick it up with both clubs, and walk to your putt.
At your putt, take out your putter and lay down the wedge in Grip Friend. After you’ve holed your ball, put your putter in Grip Friend, pick it up with both clubs, and walk back to your cart.
When it’s not raining, you can carry the wedge outside Grip Friend when you walk to your shot. After you’ve holed your ball, you can carry your putter outside Grip Friend when you walk back to your cart. It makes Grip Friend that much easier to use.
At your cart, put your clubs in your bag and put the key ring and Grip Friend back on the carabiner. You don’t need to wipe off your grips because they are clean and dry. It’s better for your grips and saves you time and effort.

2. Fairway shots for cart golfers when it’s cart path only and you’re not sure of your distance or lie.

3. Waiting your turn on the tee box or the green when it’s rainy.

4. Playing a par 3 course with three or four clubs.

5. Practicing putting and chipping.

6. At a driving range.

GRIP FRIEND IS FOR YOU IF:

  • You want clean, dry grips for every shot.

  • You don’t want dirty, wet, slippery grips to cost you strokes.

  • You don’t want to wipe off your grips because they’re dirty and wet.

  • You want to forget about your grips and focus on your shot making.

  • You want consistent grip feel and performance so you play better and enjoy the game more.

WHAT GOLFERS SAY ABOUT GRIP FRIEND

I’m a cart golfer and got Grip Friend to keep my grips dry when it’s wet. It did a great job and was so easy to use that I use it all the time. I can forget about my grips now because I know they’re dry and clean for every shot. I never wipe them off, and I don’t clean them as often.

David W.

I’m on a college golf team and carry my clubs. When it’s wet, I have Grip Friend in my bag pocket. I use it because I want dry grips for every shot. I don’t want a wet grip to be why I hit a bad shot.

Casey J.

I work at a golf club and use Grip Friend when it’s wet, mostly for shots around the green. It keeps my grips dry so I don’t have to think about them and can focus on my game.

Kevin T.

I use Grip Friend mostly in wet conditions. I also use it if they’ve sanded or applied chemicals. It’s tough and light and using it is easy. I like that it’s made here in Oregon, and that they donate 25% of profits to The First Tee.
